Dreams Come True

I wanted to share a picture of a very good friend of mine who has always been an encouragement to me and prayed faithfully for me as I waited to become a Mom and I prayed for her to find a wonderful man to marry and she did, he was so worth the wait and not only was I privileged to share in their wedding celebration but Rachel was one of her flower girls. HOW SWEET ARE THEY?

We' ve been given the go ahead to book our flights - Wahoo!

Well the news for the day is, we've been told we can book our flights. So...........we leave on Saturday 1:40 am after going to the Danville parade and fireworks at night. What a great way to celebrate the 4th. Not long now.

Hello Everyone –
Well as many of you have heard we received our travel plans to go get Sarah and are in the process of getting our flights confirmed, getting paperwork together, and packing lightly, in preparation
for travel on Sunday, July 5th. Yes, when we found out Simon and I were both away from home and there was 13 days before we were to travel. We have been asked to be in country by Sarah’s province, so they can monitor our health due to the swine flu that is going around. If you remember, we travelled during SARS when we went to go get Rachel.

We have our travel dates!!

After a very long wait, we have received the good news that we are to be in China by July 6th. The plan at the moment is to fly on July 5th. Due to the swine flu, Sarah's province is asking that we arrive in country earlier than our travel group to monitor our health. Please pray that we all stay healthy as some families have been separated due to illness. With an earlier departure we are looking at being in China for almost 3 weeks and expect to return home on July 25th. We are still in the process of getting our flights confirmed, getting paperwork together and packing lightly.
So that’s the news. We thank you so much for your prayers and will keep you updated as the next 10 days unfold and we continue our journey to Sarah.

Our Journey to Sarah

This is the story of our journey to Sarah. We are humbled by God's faithfulness in our wait and God's perfect timing. While we weren't always patience in the wait, God fullfilled his promise in his timing and in his way. Our journey will take us to China to meet the newest member of the Thomas family. We are truly blessed! Introducing Sarah Esther Thomas, our most favorite youngest daughter in the world!
