Doesn't get much better than this! Dress up as a beautiful princess, ring the neighbors doorbells and they give you candy, Lot's of candy! What a tradition.

Connecticut in the Fall
We decided to spend Christmas in CA this year, so the girls and I took a visit back to CT to see my family and get in some Nana and Papa time and introduce Sarah to our family.
I had convinced myself that the leaves in CA change in the Fall, (which they do), but after almost 12 years away at this time of the year, I realized just how amazingly spectacular the leaves do change back East, which made the trip back at this time of year, even more special.
Some of the other special moments were:
* Breakfast out at the diner every morning (Mickey pancakes are the best!)
* Nana's famous ice cream cones every day (sometimes twice a day)
* Papa's famous strawberry rhubard pie (my favorite)
* Playing in the backyard for hours with Papa's wheelbarrow, raking, gathering leaves, sticks, and flowers.
* Celebrating both girls birthday's numerous times.
* Visits from family and friends (priceless)
* Knitting lessons from Nana.
* Singing with Papa ("You are my sunshine" never sounded so sweet!)
* Hugs from Nana and Papa (the best)
* More hugs from Nana and Papa

Another Visit to the Pumpkin Patch - This Time With Dad
Well the girls got in another visit to the Pumpkin Patch, this time with Dad and it was on the weekend, so unlike the weekday when the girls and I went, there were pony rides and face painting, which meant Dad spent lots of time waiting in lines and Sarah got her wish to ride a horse, get her face painted and be with Dad. Next was lunch at In N Out Burger and then to the park to practice some more on the bike.

Pumpkin Patch
The girls and I went to Joan’s Pumpkin Farm for to get some photos, feed the animals, pan for gems, and just enjoy the day.
I love this farm; it reminds me of back East and has become one of Rachel’s and my favorite places to go in the Fall. Hopefully now, Sarah will enjoy our outing as well.
