Setting Our Painted Lady Butterflies Free

Over a number of weeks the girls watched the tiny catepillars

eat, grow and become beautiful iridescent chrysalids and then the old parts of the caterpillar undergo a remarkable change to form the new parts that make up the adult butterfly.

Beautiful and amazing! Setting the butterflies free is so fun to watch.

The girls got to see their first silent movie, which were rarely silent when screened. Back in the day, theaters employed musicians to play music to accompany the screening. This movie was shown while the SF Symphony played! The movie kept the audience and the girls very entertained. They also got to meet "The Tramp" after the show.
