One rainy day, the girls and I made sun bread from a recipe we found in a great book by Elisa Kleven called "Sun Bread". The story is about a baker who brightens a bleak winter by baking a golden sun bread which lifts the spirits of all who taste it, and even lures the real sun out of hiding!
The back of the book includes a recipe for sun bread and after enjoying the fruits (bread) of our labor, the sun came out. How cool is that! Can't ask for a better lesson than that, even if the sun hadn't come out making the bread was fun, and good to eat.
