July 20 - 3 Days and Counting until Hong Kong

We woke up to another rainy day in Guangzhou so it was another great day for using the girl’s umbrellas. In the morning our travel group went back to Shamian Island for medical exam follow-up (with no problems) and to do more shopping.

After lunch a group of us headed to one of the two parks which are next to the China Hotel. This park is located around a man-made lake and has many areas to find a place to just sit and relax, practice your Tai Chi (to which they seem to have added a type of paddle and ball to the exercise), children’s playground, table tennis and (heavy duty) exercise equipment.

or a bit of déjà vu we have included a picture of Rachel at 9 months at the same playground and now at 6 years old. Ialso had to include the picture of Simon where the girls decided the rain had stopped enough and umbrellas weren’t needed so Simon was designated as “umbrella holder”.
